In Barcelona's honor forward, Lionel Messi, the Adidas Nemeziz Messi.1 boot are dubbed "King of the Ball."

Adidas has unveiled the new Nemeziz Messi.1 boot, dubbed Rey del Balon - or "King of the Ball" - in honor of Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi.
Messi has been wearing the boots since March 2021, but they have been unavailable to order until now. A pair is now available for purchase on the Adidas website.
The Nemeziz boots pay homage to a player who has set multiple records throughout his illustrious career, including becoming the all-time leading goal scorer for a single club earlier this season. Messi's 663 goals in 748 games are a record that can never be surpassed, earning him the title of "greatest of all time" from Adidas.
Messi's initials, a gold crown, and Messi's signature logo in solar yellow are all customized embellishment information on the boots.
However, at their heart, the boots are Nemeziz, with the V-shape tension tape modelled after dancer's slippers providing increased ankle support.
Extreme torsional movements are possible thanks to the split outsole and Adidas' signature Torsion System technology, which helps players maintain balance at high speeds.

Adidas Nemeziz Messi 19 Copa boots

The launch was initially planned for June 2020, preparing for the 2020 Copa America, but was postponed when the tournament was pushed to the following year. Messi wore the boots in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League 2019-20 against Napoli and a potential final tournament.
